The Desert Super League (DSL) has officially launched its 12th season, promising thrilling cricket action across four divisions with 126 teams competing. With a diverse array of participants, ranging from pro players to casual enthusiasts, this season is set to be the biggest and most competitive yet.
The tournament was formally inaugurated at the Pakistan Association Dubai, where renowned Pakistani cricketer and test player Azhar Ali was the esteemed chief guest. His presence at the ceremony marked a celebratory start to the new season, alongside team representatives and sponsors, including RabbitandCarrot, Crowe, CricFlex, and Al Nawab Restaurant.
DSL Season 12 will feature matches across top venues, including Sevens Stadium in Dubai, Kings School Barsha, and Malek SDM in Ajman, starting from October 2024. Teams have been categorized into four divisions: A-Division for professional players, B-Division for semi-pros, C-Division for amateurs, and the Social Pool, which provides a relaxed format for those looking to play for fun.
Corporate and self-sponsored teams like Footprint, Suncorp, Inoxium, UCC Hawks, Wanderers, Emirates NBD, Titans, Club 295, UAE NCC, Mideast and Faisal XI are among the many who will be battling for glory this season.
"The growth of Desert Super League has been remarkable, and the participation of 126 teams this year showcases the passion for cricket in the UAE," said the league spokesperson - Omer Hayat. With each division offering a unique level of competition, this season promises excitement for players and fans alike."
